Web Template

This is the first mock up I have produced for our Professional Project. It a template for the site that we are going to produce for the Digital Media Production course at the Arts Institute. Once we have sorted out all the server side stuff we need we will be able to implement the template so that it all functions properly.

This the second template which I prefer more. I think looks and works a lot better then my previous template. It feel it is a lot more modern and fresh and fits well with where the course is going in the future.

This is my final mock up. To be honest Im not really into it and I dont think its works well. I am more inclined to use my second template for our website.

MTV Board

This was my initial idea for the project. I wanted a series of lighting streaks to cut through the MTV logo while in deep space. I was then planing on developing the mood board so that it showed that the MTV logo would then engulf earth and form a thin blanket around it. This would act as part of the MTV virus as the brief described. This idea will sound a lot better once I have some visuals rendered and realised. At the moment it is just in my head on rough pieces of paper but I’ll get on a move on with the visuals soon.

MTV Pro Project

Sam and I plan to enter the D and AD Student Awards this year as part of our professional project. As we are both interested in working with-in the industry of motion graphics and 3D design we feel that by taking on a professional brief and entering a well know design awards event we would gain the most exposure for our desired professions. Having looked through many briefs we decided that the brief for MTV would benefit our skills equally as it is an open brief that allows us both to express ourselves creatively.

We plan on collaboratively working on a motion graphic video piece aimed towards fulfilling the brief.

The brief itself is asking us to depict MTV as a virus. We are to choose an environment for the virus to enter and for us to explore how it infects and affects it. We are asked how MTV would look, behave and mutate in this environment both visually and contextually. A mandatory requirement of the piece is to embody the spirit of MTV as a brand that continues to be a pioneer in the music and entertainment culture. We are also required to demonstrate what insights have influenced our ‘deign’ and why we have chosen a particular environment or context for your ideas.

I am planing on keeping an up to date recored of our developments on here as we progress through the project. Keys your eyes pealed…
